Have you figured out I’m not the world’s biggest coffee fan? I do not own just recently purchased a coffee maker and Starbucks means nothing to me. Blasphemy, I know. Unlike the better half of Food in the Fox who pipes the stuff directly into her veins, I never quite acquired the taste for coffee, latte, espressos, and so forth. However, coffee shops do cater to unfortunate souls like me. Take Seth’s Coffee & Bake Shop in Little Chute, for example. My go-to drink of choice at Seth’s is the steamer, which is essentially just steamed milk with a bit of flavored syrup added to it. Seth’s has about eight or ten flavors to choose from, including a few sugar free ones, but try the vanilla (
Hot Chocolate vs. Hot Chocolate
But, back to today’s hot chocolate. As you may recall, just couple days ago I had the Mexican Hot Chocolate down at Copper Rock Coffee in downtown Appleton. It was decent enough, but I must say I prefer Seth’s hot chocolate over the Copper Rock. Sadly, as was the case at Copper Rock, there were no marshmallows crowning this high-calorie concoction. Instead, we have the typical chocolate syrup and whipped cream combo nestled in one of Seth’s signature handmade mugs. Seth’s was also a little more generous with the whipped cream than Copper Rock, which was another plus.
I believe it is now one of my missions in life to find the best hot chocolate the Fox Valley has to offer. If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment and I’ll be sure to check it out and report my findings here on Food in the Fox.
