After a long morning of buzzing around Green Bay speaking with landscapers on behalf of a client, we started looking for a place to eat. Half-lost and hungry, I had a spontaneous but all-too-rare moment of lucidity and recognized where we were. That location just happened to be just a few blocks away from Grazies Italian Grill.
I had been here just once before and my only memory of the place was the fresh bread and the dipping oil that came with it. The bread is pretty damn good, but the dipping oil… oh boy. It’s got a bit of spice to it (14 different spices according to the promo materials) without being overwhelming. It alone is probably worth the trip. If you want to take a bottle home it’ll set you back $12.99.
BLT Chicken Wrap
I don’t know why, but I’ve been craving a BLT for a while now so when I saw the BLT Chicken Wrap on the menu I jumped for it. The words “pizza dough” might have also swayed my judgement. Yes, pizza dough as a wrap. Here’s the menu description: “We take our pizza dough, cover it in cheddar cheese then fill it up with bacon, ranch dressing, lettuce, tomato and a grilled chicken breast.” Cheese, bacon, and chicken all cozied up in dough? Yes, please. All for $8.99. The pizza dough wrap plus oil-dipped bread nearly resulted in a carb coma, but it was well worth it. A side of coleslaw completed the picture.
One more plus was the service. Our waiter was friendly, courteous, and attentive.
