New York Deli [Santa Fe Wrap]
When looking for a nice, bright spot to get some work done, New York Deli off of Casaloma on the west side Appleton is always a nice spot. The service is quick, but around lunch time it can be difficult to find a place to sit because it tends to get busy quickly. But for the most part, the place is comfortable and I have never had a bad meal there. Food in the Fox has reviewed the place a few different times, but this time we tried something a bit different. Something with a spicy, jalapeno kick; the Santa Fe Wrap.
Wrap With A Kick
The wrap was filled with chicken, lettuce, sun-dried tomatoes, cilantro, and jalapenos. I asked them to put the chipotle lime mayo on the side. The spicy wrap was flavorful and did pack a little bit of a punch, but nothing too bad. The wrap did kind of fall apart on me after I took out the pick, but that is somewhat to be expected with a giant wrap. It came with a pickle spear and a small bundle of grapes.
Price wise, New York Deli is about the same as many other local eateries. The wrap was $6.59 and many other items on the menu come in at right around the same price. With chips and a drink, you are looking at around $10.00 for a quick, tasty lunch. Next time, as I know there will be a next time, I am going to try the soup, which is available in a cup, bowl, or a quart to take home.
