Out-O-Town Supper Club [Baked Haddock]
The Fox Valley has a number of “go to” places for fish on Fridays, but we recently learned that Out-O-Town Supper Club in Kaukauna was one of the go to places. As it just so happened, when we learned this (thanks Connie!) it was lunchtime and we were hungry, so naturally off to Out-O-Town we went.

Okay, on to the fish. Once of the very nice things about Out-O-Town is that you get a great selection of fish for a good price. On the menu for the Wednesday and Friday fish specials is perch (fried), pike (fried or pan fried), haddock (baked or deep fried), grilled salmon, and blue gill (fried). All of these are $8.95 with the exception of the haddock, which rings in at $7.95. I opted for the baked haddock (adventurous, I know), which came with tartar sauce, rye bread, coleslaw, and a baked potato. As you can see, the add-ons are served up family style and come to the table right away.
I’ll take everything one-by-one here. I’m not sure if that was rye bread or not, but it was nice and soft. The coleslaw was finely chopped and was one of the better examples I’ve had lately. The backed haddock was super firm and tasted great. The baked potato was a little small (like I needed the calories anyway) and a little overdone, but nothing to worry too much about. There was even a little stainless steel bucket of warm buttery calories on the plate to complement the pats of butter that came with the bread.
You can also add the salad bar for $2.00 extra, which I skipped this round.
Slightly Odd Hours
Out-O-Town’s hours bounce around a little bit. The supper club serves up lunch Tuesday through Friday between 11:30 and 1:30. Dinner gets served Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 4:30 and 9:30, Friday and Saturday 4:00 to 10:00, and Sunday and Monday between 4:30 and 9:00. The place closes down on Mondays in June, July, and August.
